Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929. For the past three generations of his family his grandfather, his father, and he were the pastors of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Known for the famous speech “I had a dream” in which would touch the hearts of many people in the world. He went around community’s and helped them by showing his support. In 1964, Martin was award the Nobel Prize, still known as the youngest one to receive one. He was award the Noble Prize to fight for the end of racial segregation. He wanted to end racial segregation and racial discrimination in which he went around the whole entire world and gave speech’s letting the people know that we should all be equal because we all are human. Martin Luther King Jr. died April 4, 1968, as we all know we celebrated “Martin Luther King’s Day” to remember what great things he did for people and show to the whole world that we are all equal.

Top 6 Colleges.

Cornell University-

I selected this school because I believe that it is my dream school. The reason being because my sister had the honor of attending that school with a scholarship. When I went there for my sisters graduation and had a tour on how the school was I fell in love with it and the surroundings. It was a beautiful place to attend and even though it might be a large school everybody seems to get along pretty well and act like a family. The reason why I would like to attend this school is because I love the surrounding and community in Ithaca, New York.  Undergrads that attend that school is  1,105,  the location of the school is Mount Vernon, Ithaca. The cost for attending the school would be $29, 580 and the major that is available to me at that college is general Psychology.

Davidson-

I chose this school because I feel it has the right surrondings and environment that would be perfect for me. They seem to have a safe small community. What made me notice this school adademically is them wanting to help us go after what we want to major in. In the college there are 1,668 students attending, the location of this college is in Davidson, North Carolina, the cost for attending the college would be $35,124 and the majors I am interested in following in that school are historty and mathematics.

Penn State DuBois-

When I am looking at there website for the college, I see how much that they perform community service and want to help others. They give you a chance to face the real world, rather then just giving you work to do. Adademically, this school seems that it really wants to show you and teach you how you will be working in what you majoring in. The number students attending the school are 937, the location of the college is DuBois,  Pennsylvania, the cost of attending the college would be $12,130 and the majors I would like to attend are Graphic Design.

Lehigh University

The reason I would like attend this school is because it is a private school, and still deals with the religious laws. There logo state ” challenging great minds … inspiring great imaginations.” Meaning that they are willing to push us to get to the place where we want to be. The number of students attending the college are 4,809, the college is located at Bethlehem,  Pennsylvania, the cost of attending the college is $38,630, and the major I would like to do in this college would be Journalism.

St. Michael’s College-

I learned about this school, when I went to the doctors. The doctor was talking about his son and how he is in love with the school. They kept telling us great information about the school and how they are very good with the sports. There logo on their websites says “Learn what matters.” They are saying that they arent going to waste your time, learning about stuff that you really could care less about they will be teaching you and showing you what you really want to learn and what you want to look for in a career once your out of college. The number of students attending the college is 2,008, the college is located at Colchester,  Vermont, the cost of attending the school is
$33,215, and the major I would like to learn about is Journalism.

Columbia University-

My sister attending this school right after going to Cornell University. Majoring in what she loved, she grautated. I had an inside look into the school from my sister. Adademically, I would say that it’s a college that shows you guide lines to what you will be going through in your career. The number of students attending the college are 5,667, the location of this college is New York,  New York, the cost of attending this school is $41,316, and the major I would like to go into if I attend this school would be Urban Studies.
